Vehicle Scrap Value Calculator

Get a quick estimate of what your end-of-life vehicle may be worth from a registered scrapping facility (RVSF). Scrap value is based purely on vehicle weight — the same rate applies regardless of vehicle type, fuel type, or age.

Rate is the same for all vehicle types — this only helps estimate typical weight.

How Scrap Value Is Calculated

Scrap value is determined by a single factor: your vehicle's weight. Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs) pay a flat rate per kilogram of scrap metal, regardless of the vehicle's type, fuel type, or age.

  • Vehicle Weight — The only factor that determines your scrap value. Heavier vehicles yield more scrap material and therefore a higher total value.
  • Current Scrap Metal Rate — Typically ₹22 to ₹25 per kilogram, varying by RVSF and market conditions. Your vehicle type, fuel type, and age do not affect this rate.

A 25-year-old motorcycle and a 5-year-old motorcycle of the same weight will receive the same scrap value. The calculator above gives you a range — visit an RVSF for a final weight-based assessment.
